Ian Colbert has 20 years of international sales, marketing and sponsorship experience in Europe, USA and Latin America. Spanning the fields of television, press, distribution, internet and company training, Ian’s expertise includes: management of international accounts and direct relationships with advertisers and their agencies; developing communication strategies and optimising budgets. His client list includes: film distributors, Warner Bros, Buena Vista, Columbia TriStar, UIP and 20th Century Fox; record labels, Sony Music, Universal Music, BMG and EMI; and consumer goods, Nike, Adidas, Mars, Unilever, Kodak and IBM.
During his expansive career Ian worked for MTV, building major channel-wide promotions and sponsorships with movie studios and record labels, developing programming with Adidas around the football World Cup, and 360؛ campaigns with Mars Europe and Kodak LatAm (on-air, OTG, on-pack, in-store). While at image.net (a global platform for the storage and distribution of publicity materials for the entertainment industry – now owned by Getty Images) Ian was responsible for selling the service to major studios and managing existing clients, including local film distributors in the UK, Germany and Spain. During his time at Live Nation, Ian’s responsibilities included targeting key sponsors in the telco, automotive, financial and drinks sectors for A-list artist world tours including Madonna and Coldplay. Multilingual, Ian is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German.
